YouthHack Singapore is holding the first-ever YouthHack Singapore Startup Challenge on June 28, 2015 for high school and university students to learn more about startups and entrepreneurship. If you're interested, register below.

Program

Keynote

For the first half of the day, students will get the opportunity to hear from entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.

Workshops

Students go through workshops in ideation, business planning, pitching and more.

Pitch Session

During the second half of the day, they will also work on their own idea and present to a panel of judges.

Speakers And Judges

Kevin Ng, CEO of Hyron Infotech


Kevin Ng is a young entrepreneur, rock-climber and poet, though not necessarily at the same time. Founder and CEO of Hyron Infotech, the team is the force behind Certainty Scheduling, a manpower and operations software for large event companies. Kevin and Hyron Infotech represented Singapore in Washington D.C. at the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards 2015 as the Singapore National Champion, and were crowned Top 6 Finalists in the world.

Michael Lints, Venture Partner at Golden Gate Ventures


Michael is a venture partner at Golden Gate Ventures. Michael studied Management and Control of information science. After his graduation, he worked briefly as a consultant and project manager at one of the largest insurance companies in the Netherlands, after which he started his own IT business, an IT System Maintenance Company. In 2007, Michael founded his own venture fund focused on Dutch SME’s before joining Golden Gate Ventures as a venture partner. Michael has over 14 years entrepreneurial and managerial experience.

Mohan Belani, Director of e27


The face of e27, Mohan Belani is the Co-Founder and Director of e27 at Optimatic Pte. Ltd., where he also runs Asia's leading web technology event, Echelon. Apart from events, he runs all business development and strategic partnership related activities. Mohan Belani is the also the co-founder of Gokil Games, a startup focused on the social gaming industry. Mohan Belani is an avid fan of Skyrim and loves mountain climbing. He loves meeting new people, anytime anywhere.

The YouthHack is a non-profit organization that helps high school and college students learn more about technology, startups and entrepreneurship. We host workshops, speaker events and competitions for students.

Who can join YouthHack Singapore?

YouthHack Singapore is open to high school and college students in Singapore who just want to learn more about the exciting world of startups here.

Do I need to have an idea?

Coming into the event, you don't necessarily need to have an idea. We will be having an ideation workshop along with an ideation session to help you come up with ideas you can pitch in the fire pitching session.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. This is not a code weekend or hackathon. YouthHack Singapore will be a one day summit to introduce high school and college students to the world of startups.
